Pool Light

Pool Light

This project began with a trip to a local flea market with one of my customers. Neither of us had a specific project in mind, we were just looking to see what was for sale. We came across a salvaged wooden well pump that we both really liked. Some of the green paint remained but most had been worn off, it was very weathered with rusty metal details. We brought it home and decided to turn it into a freestanding light to accompany their tiki bar. The salvaged well pump was used for the post and a light and legs were added. Each of these additions were fabricated out of steel and the overall design was inspired by a lantern that might be found hanging on a pirate ship.
